Hello everyone. A short and to the point question for you. Is it possible to get a hard copy version of VBAM: Fire As She Bears anywhere?

At the moment, no. However Tyrel and I discussed this and since there has been a demand for it we do plan to release it in printed form in the very near future.

Thanks for the fast reply, that's most excellent news indeed. In that case I'll hold fire on my purchase until the hard copy is available.

Are we talking days or weeks here?

You're welcome. I will talk to Tyrel over the weekend and see what we can do.

In the mean time we do have the Caribbean Scenario book you can download for free here:

Ironically,

Fire as She Bears! is how I was introduced to the VBAM system. I was surfing for various rules on stuff I like, and I've always been a fan of the "Age of Sail" and there it was and I took a shot, got the pdf, and found out "hey they do space stuff too woohoo!". The rest is ummm happy gamer history hehe.

It will probably be awhile before FASB Edition is available in hard cover. The main book was put together in PageMaker 7 and would have to be converted into InDesign, which wouldn't be as big of a problem... except the graphics were all done in a low-res format that have to be completely redone as high-resolution versions to make it printable.

If Jay can get the internal diagrams redone, I could probably try to get the rest of it put together. It would probably still be towards the end of May before we had anything done and ready to send to the printer, however.

End of May is not so bad. I'm a very patient person! :)

Thanks!

...and we are two weeks into May, and I haven't started on this project! Things are running right on schedule!

I it on the schedule, but right now Star Charts takes top priority.
